Many people have begun to get involve din the wearable market as its popularity has been soaring throughout last year and the beginning of this year already. A new wearable has come into the space with the hopes of tracking fertility of individuals, helping couples who are hoping to conceive children. The device is known as Ava, which has been also called the Fitbit of fertility. The bracelet works by tracking the woman’s five-day ovulation window with around a 90% accuracy rate. This is extremely accurate considering this type of metric has never been able to be tracked on such a continuous basis.

The company states that the device almost doubles a couple’s chance of conceiving within a given month. Jade Tolbert, one of the first individuals to use the device successfully stated that “I’m 30 so I feel like as you get older as a woman there’s a little more pressure, you don’t know if you’re going to be able to get pregnant as easy – so using the Ava bracelet just took a lot of stress and pressure off myself that I could understand my body better. I was using an ovulation calendar to try and kind of figure out my cycle, but there’s not a lot of information out there so we were just kind of winging it I feel like,” Jade said.

Many individuals feel like this is a real game changer for those who are looking to get pregnant. The CEO of the company Ava stated that “We have really been used to having methods that are really unreliable, that are not fun to use at all and I think now we’re in the 21st century and we really needed something that is easier for women when they’re trying to track their cycle and when they’re trying to get pregnant.” The hopes are high that this device can continue with its high rate of success.
